Welcome to Marcos’ Office
Hi, I’m Marcos.
I believe healing happens in relationships—with ourselves, with the people we love, and with the communities that shape us. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, I strive to create a space where people feel genuinely welcomed, understood, and respected. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
As the son of immigrants and someone whose own life has been shaped by navigating different cultures, identities, and life experiences, I understand that every person’s story exists within a larger context. The challenges we face are often influenced not only by our personal experiences, but also by our families, communities, cultures, and relationships. This perspective informs how I approach therapy and helps me meet clients with curiosity, humility, and compassion rather than assumptions.
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, substance use concerns, identity exploration, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting couples and families, BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those healing from complex trauma. Whether you’re working through communication difficulties, recovering from painful experiences, navigating family conflict, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can provide a place to slow down and create meaningful change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I draw from Family Systems Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Havening Techniques, mindfulness practices, and other evidence-based approaches. Together, we’ll explore not only what’s happening in your life today, but also the patterns and experiences that may be shaping your present struggles. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can better understand your needs, reconnect with your strengths, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping people move beyond surface-level conflict to better understand what is happening underneath. Whether I am working with couples caught in difficult cycles, families experiencing tension, or individuals feeling stuck, I aim to help uncover the deeper emotions, needs, and stories that deserve attention and care.
Outside of the therapy room, I am a textile artist and someone who values creativity as a path toward healing and self-discovery. Because of this, I often incorporate creative and experiential elements into therapy, including mindfulness exercises, reflection prompts, writing, music, and other tools that help clients explore themselves from new perspectives.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing people heal people. Lasting change happens when we honor the resilience of the body, mind, and spirit while recognizing the many influences that shape our lives. My hope is that our work together helps you feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in your relationships, and more empowered to create the life you want.
If you’re ready for something to shift, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
