Welcome to Brianna’s Office
Meet Brianna, Therapy Intern
Hi, I’m glad you’re here!
My name is Brianna Holland, and I am a Therapy Intern at Best Life Louisville Mental Health Services. I grew up in Central City, Kentucky, a small town in western Kentucky, where my experiences with family, community, education, and culture shaped the way I understand people and the world around me.
I moved to Louisville to pursue my undergraduate degree in Psychology and have called Louisville home ever since. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands.
My background in psychology and patient care has allowed me to support people through some of the most difficult and complex experiences of their lives. Through those experiences, I realized that what mattered most to me was helping people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Sometimes one of the most powerful things we can offer another person is a place where they do not have to explain, minimize, or hide what they are going through.
As a Counseling Intern, I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, relationships, grief, life transitions, and the stress that can come from navigating systems and expectations that do not always make space for who we are.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be or how to live, but to work alongside you as we better understand what you’ve experienced, identify what you need, and move toward the life you want.
I am especially passionate about working with women, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, or major life transitions. I want you to be able to show up as your whole self, knowing your identity, experiences, and perspective will be respected and valued.
Therapy can feel vulnerable, and reaching out for support is not always easy. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.
We can start exactly where you are.
My Therapeutic Focus
You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply unsure where to begin. Maybe you’ve spent years putting other people first, feeling misunderstood, questioning yourself, or trying to survive while carrying more than anyone else could see.
Together, we can explore those experiences without judgment. Our work might include developing coping skills, processing trauma, exploring identity, navigating relationships, building self-compassion, setting boundaries, or strengthening your connection with yourself.
I don’t believe therapy is about changing who you are. It can be an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, make sense of what you’ve experienced, heal at your own pace, and build a life that feels more authentic and meaningful to you.
