William McBride, MFT-Associate

Welcome to William’s Office

You probably never envisioned that you would be at this space in your life. You tend to be the person or couple that others come to for help, advice and motivation. You have it all together… At least, that’s what people see on the outside.

The reality is that even the strongest relationships, the most impactful leaders, and the most admired athletes among us have an inner world. And that inner world includes fears and stressors that can seem unfathomable. And what’s worse, you don’t want to let anyone else down by exposing them to your humanity.

You need to be able to speak to someone who not only will not judge you, but who has experience in working with people just like you. Your confidentiality is assured and you have your safe space to explore and ultimately to be even better.

Areas of Specialty

Couples & Families

Can you remember the last time that you felt the warm and fuzzy feelings about spending time
together or time with family members? Can’t remember when? Has it been so long ago that
cobwebs cloud your memory? If this describes your family dynamics, schedule your intake consultation to get on my schedule today so that we can develop strategies to get back “that loving feeling” in your family today. Your moments of fulfillment are waiting.

With your partnership and my 25-plus years’ experience of designing interventions to improve family-life, we can begin building great memories for your family again. Just think, in any given week we all have 10,080-minutes to use as we see fit. After the initial therapy session, your time commitment for therapy is only 50 to 55-minutes of the 10,080 minutes of your week, you and your relationships are worth that commitment.

There is no shame in admitting you have mental health concerns. It doesn’t speak badly of you or your family if you struggle because we all do. However, having those barriers in place keeps us from moving forward, getting where we want to be, and being happier and more content with ourselves.

Schedule an appointment today if you’re looking for a safe space where you can feel seen and heard without judgment.

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall” (Isaiah 40:30, NIV), so what about
YOU?

You who shoulder the burden of shepherding the masses, where do you turn when you need a shoulder to lean on? Who do you call when you feel more frustration and exhaustion than joy?

As a seasoned therapist and servant among the flock, I will lend you my ears, my insight and sworn confidence in your time of need.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17, NIV), when life’s flaming arrow pierce your spirit and dulls the effect of your prayerful petitions. Let’s take part in sharpening one another for the journey ahead. Allow me to help carry some of the burden of your calling. It can be the beginning of a beautiful journey.

Athletes

Do you feel like you’re in an ocean of pressure surrounding you every day where the pressure seems to be unbearable? Does the pressure to perform on the field, or on the court, drown-out the joy that inspired you to play the game at a high level? Do you experience more fear of losing more than the feeling of fun and excitement?

How many times have your coaches and trusted advisors told you “get out of your head”?

If any of these scenario’s sound like you, then give me a call to explore ways of helping you to get back your passion to compete. Many athletes have come to this point in their journey to realize that you can’t neglect your mental health and expect to perform at your best. Your joy, your passion and your optimal self are waiting for you to prioritize this part of yourself.

Meet William McBride, MFT-Associate

I have been in the mental health and social services field for 25+ years spurred on by a deep respect and commitment to the betterment of the human condition. I have experience in many areas and fields that others avoid in their career to include working in juvenile justice, social services, and sex offenders.

After occupying different roles in the field for many years, I decided to go to Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary to pursue my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. There, I discovered the joy in working with clients in a one on one capacity as a clinician which allows me to create the safety and trust necessary for true change.

I am a busy family man and clinician but I look forward to working with you, where ever you may be in your walk.

Call now, why wait?

We spend so much time suffering and going in circles. We could spend that time investing in our betterment.

Our sessions will be 50-60 minutes long and can take place via telehealth or in-person. At this time, most of my offerings are telehealth with greater flexibility once we are working together. To start, we will do some assessment and come to agreement on goals that you believe are the best fit for your life. We then will focus our work on what matters most to you.
